Seems to be a bit of a quiet forum but here goes anyways....

I'm trying to get information from the users of rugged gear (particularly the RNB 100 tablet) as to the functionality of this equipment in difficult conditions. I know that it is designed and marketed as being up to mil standards but frankly G.I. Joe driving in a Humvee may not be putting this stuff to a very tough test. We intend to use these units for data collection under difficult conditions ie. rained on, dropped in a bog, stuffed in a backpack with wet gear, bounced around in that backpack when the crew member falls off a log. That sort of thing.

We need the units to be as close to 100% reliable as possible as a breakdown costs many thousands of dollars in lost time and wasted resources.

Anyone got experience with these things? Care to share pros and cons?

Thanks.
